Michael was on the WGI Board of Directors that authorized the organization to begin fostering and nurturing this wonderful indoor percussion activity. Since its inception, the growth has almost kept up with the excitement! In addition to teaching on the University level early on in the indoor activities timeline, Michael has designed and taught for Aimachi Percussion, from Nagoya, Japan since 2005. They have been a medalist in the Independent World Class at WGI World Championships on multiple occasions.
Due to his experience designing and teaching, Michael is an adjudicator for indoor percussion in both the United States and on the international stage. Seeing this art form from both the designer and the adjudicator gives him a unique perspective on where the design is, and where it can go.
If you would like to view some design work, go to indoor percussion or winds in portfolio section of the site.
