My annual trek to Bands of America was a fun one this year. I had 6 of my groups attend: Bellbrook HS
Had a wonderful time at WGI (both guard and percussion) World Championships! It is always a great opportunity to catch up with friends, although sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming with all of the mini reunions that can happen at any second.
My groups performed their hearts out, and did well competitively too.
Bellbrook HS won a gold medal in Scholastic A with their show “Mother Mine.”
Norwin HS was 9th place in Scholastic World finals with “Abandoned.”
Carmel HS won the gold medal in Scholastic World class with “Full Spectrum.”
Zydeco placed 11th in Independent World Class finals with “Unfinished.”
Pride of Cincinnati won the gold medal in Independent World Class with “The Wait of the World.”
Aimachi Percussion placed 6th in Independent World Class finals.
All in all, a great weekend and a great season. I’m lucky to be able to do this for a career, and to see the magic the performers bring to the arena year after year. I do not take that for granted.
